Interproximal Bone and Soft Tissue Esthetics

Abstract
This lecture gave an introduction to the subject of interproximal bone preservation and regeneration, related to the broader esthetic objective of soft tissue support and ideal emergence profile. It included data and the concept behind earlier experimental scalloped implants with up to four years follow-up, and presented patient data of the recent scalloped implant design.

The focus of the lecture was to provide the background to and rationale for the development of the scalloped implant and its potential positive effect on predictability in single and multiple esthetic anterior implant situations.
