Soft Tissue Esthetics

Abstract
In recent years the esthetic demand from the patients has become a significant challenge in implant dentistry. A major consequence is driven by this fact: the position of the implants in the jaws is now determined on prosthetic basis, and not only by the quantity and morphology of the available bone.

In this presentation the audience learned diagnostic parameters and anatomical determinants to be considered for proper esthetic implant dentistry. Surgical techniques for hard and soft tissue augmentation were described and the long-term results and potential complications were discussed.
