WORLD CONFERENCE 2003 IN RETROSPECT

Building a Strong Treatment Team

Abstract
This full-day course covered integration of the front office, clinical assistants, and hygienists who have important responsibilities in a successful practice involving C&B&I. The course was taught from the perspective of the dentist and a member of the staff. Participants in the course learned how to introduce and coordinate implant prosthetics into the office, and how to work with the surgical office and the dental laboratory. Products and procedures for implant and restorative appointments were covered. How to market C&B&I to prospective patients, and how to develop a financial policy were presented. What the real expenses for C&B&I therapy are and why fees have to be structured at certain levels, was part of this program.

This program was of benefit for both surgical and prosthetic staff personnel by illustrating the importance of coordination of patient care between the two offices.
