WORLD CONFERENCE 2003 IN RETROSPECT

The One-Piece Implant

The course presented the one-piece implant, which, in selected cases, represents the ultimate simplicity made possible with immediate loading. In some clinical situations the two-piece implant will be too wide for natural replacement of a central incisor in the lower jaw or a lateral incisor in the upper jaw. With the one-piece implant design, these situations may be optimally treated.

The course covered treatment planning for the one-piece implant, the surgical and prosthetic techniques, and the research and clinical experiences behind this new modality.
