Immediate Function in Daily Practice

Abstract
Immediate implant function gives a psychological and a physical benefit for the patient and makes substantial reduction in treatment time and cost possible. The purpose of this lecture was to present effective clinical procedures at immediate function and how the concept is applied at a restorative dental office. Clinical examples and success data was given for all types of restorations in all regions of the mouth.

Paulo Maló, DDS, Lisbon, Portugal

Dr. Maló received his DDS degree from the Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Lisbon in Portugal. He is the CEO and Clinical Director of the Maló Clinic in Lisbon with a private practice limited to both surgical and prosthetic rehabilitation of natural dentition and dental implants.

Dr. Maló is a Board member of the European Academy of Osseointegration (EAO) and a scientific consultant to several international dental corporations. He has authored several scientific articles, as well as co-authoring two textbooks on implant dentistry.

Dr. Maló has lectured at numerous international conferences on dental implants, reconstructive surgical procedures and esthetics.
