Immediate Loading of Single Lower Molars

Abstract
First and second lower molars are the most commonly missing teeth. Although not indispensable, molars hold their importance in terms of functional jaws stability, antagonist tooth opposition and esthetics.

This lecture presented the preliminary results of a prospective clinical study where molars in the lower jaw are replaced by un-splinted immediately loaded wide implants. The clinical situation represents a particular challenge due to high masticatory forces in this region. Never the less the results are very promising. The presentation covered patient selection as well as surgical and prosthetic aspects.
